School is back in session, which was bad news for one golfer in Chicago who went on a viral rant after being denied a caddie this past weekend.
The female golfer was caught on camera going off on staff members at Beverly Country Club, with the clip racking up more than 5 million views in a matter of days.
The unidentified woman was incensed over the lack of caddies available for her round with some friends after having previously requested them.
“I talked to Kevin yesterday, this is not acceptable,” the woman said in the video posted by X user Dan Proft. “I have guests that have played Medinah and they are playing Shoreacres. And they’re gonna get a s***** … I’m gonna bad mouth this club all day if we don’t get this together.”
WARNING: Vulgar language
The woman continued, stating that she had confirmed two caddies for the round and said they wouldn’t hit the course until she had “two caddies for three people. Nobody said a cart.”
Who was filming the incident?
The cameraman then approached the furious woman, who appeared to know the man by name and called him John.
“I wrote a letter stating that I need caddies. Nobody ever used the word cart,” she said. “John, this is bulls***. I am so upset.”
Seemingly out of nowhere, the woman then threw out an accusation of sexism towards the club.
“It’s not unusual for Beverly to treat people like this, especially women, and I will address this,” she said. “Because I organized this months ago. I wrote a letter yesterday that I never got a response from, and I called this morning, and this is how I’m going out to play golf. This is great.
“I want two caddies. I’m not taking a cart and my guests shouldn’t have to take a cart. They want to walk and here they come through the door. John, you figure it out.”
Why were there no caddies?
John, who is referred to as a club pro in the video, then tries to explain to the woman that there are no caddies available because their summer program ends when they return to school.
“You’re a f****** liar because there are three caddies out there right now ahead of me and there’s caddies over there,” the woman fires back, to which John replies “I’m not gonna take this.”
Another member of her group attempts to calm the situation by saying that taking a cart would be OK before the golfer alleges again that she is being treated poorly “because I’m a woman,” before walking away.
The clip ends with John and another staff member beginning a conversation with the other party members in hopes of explaining the situation.
