NFL WEEK 17 PICKS: Joe Burrow and Bengals ready to cook the Cardinals

The lines are from Covers.com and the home teams are in CAPs.

Dallas -7 over WASHINGTON

It was a game that ultimately doesn’t matter, so at least it was some good fun, right?

Detroit -7.5 over MINNESOTA

You have to admit that it’s pretty impressive for the Vikings to win by 10 more points than they had passing yards — but also pretty pathetic on the Lions’ behalf.

Denver -13 over KANSAS CITY

To be honest, probably should have known better than to trust a team that has failed to win by margin most of this season against a Chiefs team that usually fares well in prime time.

Houston +2.5 over L.A. CHARGERS

The Chargers looked pretty decent against the woeful Cowboys defence, but will be in for a much bigger test against this hungry Texans team.

GREEN BAY -2.5 over Baltimore

It’s looking like we’ll see a battle of backups here and the Packers have far better depth across the board to not back at home.

Tampa Bay -5 over MIAMI

The bar set by Tua Tagovailoa was low, but Quinn Ewers still didn’t quite clear it. It only gets harder against the Bucs team getting healthier and fighting for their playoff lives.

NEW YORK JETS +13 over New England

Drake Maye might be an MVP candidate this season, but the injuries are starting to add up enough that we’re not confident the Pats can cover this large number.

CLEVELAND +3 over Pittsburgh

Now that the Steelers are fully in the driver’s seat, here’s where they blow one against a rival for seemingly no reason.

CINCINNATI -7.5 over Arizona

The Cards are down so many key players, they’re on the road and the Bengals have just too much star power to not put up huge points here.

New Orleans -2.5 over TENNESSEE

The Titans made some progress beating a Chiefs team that has thrown in the white flag, but will fail to measure up against a team that seems dead set on competing until the finish line like the pesky Saints.

Jacksonville -6.5 over INDIANAPOLIS

Philip Rivers’ incredible comeback story was nice, but the reality of bringing back a guy who had been retired for five years set in on Monday night. The Jags have been rolling since their bye and should continue to here.

Seattle -7.5 over CAROLINA

Since we’re thinking that the Bucs win earlier in the day, this matchup really doesn’t mean much to the Panthers. The Seahawks, on the other hand, must go all out to ensure they hold on to the No. 1 seed.

LAS VEGAS -2 over New York Giants

Which team is more likely to blow the Tank Bowl? Probably the Giants, right? Pete Carroll isn’t one to give up, either.

Philadelphia +1.5 over BUFFALO

Josh Allen continues to do incredibly things and keep himself in the MVP conversation, but the Eagles are picking up their form as the playoffs near and have been looking dangerous.

SAN FRANCISCO -3.5 over Chicago

The Niners haven’t won by fewer than 11 points during their five-game winning streak as they head towards the playoffs. The Bears have been a great story, but might likely meet their match here.

Los Angeles Rams -7.5 over ATLANTA

I’ve got four words for you: Prime Time Kirk Cousins. Giving away the hook sucks, but it’s necessary.

Last week: 5-9-2

This season: 111-122-7
