Wyndham Clark’s influencer girlfriend goes viral after awkward celebration moment

While Wyndham Clark was busy winning the BMW Championship on Sunday, his girlfriend got her share of time in the spotlight as well.

Emily Tanner was a presence alongside the golfer all throughout the tournament, but she went viral after an awkward moment while celebrating Clark’s $3.6-million US victory.

As Clark sank his putt on the 18th hole to secure the win, CBS cameras caught Tanner celebrating alongside an older man and woman.

Tanner turned to hug the woman as she screamed in joy before turning away to high-five another person off-camera. But as she turned, the older man had reached out for a hug and appeared to grab Tanner’s breast as she turned away.

Warning: Language

Tanner played it off as if she didn’t notice it, but folks on social media certainly did.

This awkward interaction went viral, with the Golf on CBS account removing the clip from its TikTok feed shortly after the incident gained notoriety on social media.

“Not a lot of talk about the textbook boob grab from Wyndham’s dad. Clearly not his first rodeo,” one user commented on X with a screengrab of the grab.

Another posted a GIF of artist Bob Ross including his catchphrase: “We don’t make mistakes, we just have happy accidents.”

Who was the older man?

However, while many believed that Clark’s father was involved in the incident, that isn’t quite true.

Many users on social media pointed out that the older couple may in fact have been Tanner’s parents and that Clark’s mother died of cancer in 2013.

The golfer also had an emotional moment with his father earlier this year after winning the U.S. Open.

Randall Clark surprised his son on the 18th green after watching him win his second major championship, with the two embracing in celebration.

Who is Emily Tanner?

Wyndham Clark and Tanner went public with their relationship earlier this year at the Masters.

The 31-year-old native of Detroit is known as an Instagram model and influencer with more than 741,000 followers.

She also recently took to her social media feeds to share some big news about herself and Clark.

Tanner posted — in a paid partnership post — that she is leaving California to move in with the golf star, who currently resides in Arizona.

“I think one of the most special parts about falling in love is realizing that the life you pictured for yourself can completely change when you find someone that you want to build it with,” she said. “I am so excited that I finally get to live with my best friend and start our new chapter together.”

Clark commented on the post, jokingly asking: “Where are you moving???” along with a coy smiley face emoji.
