Former Duke star Kyle Singler has returned to social media, causing concern among fans and followers after posting several video in which he looks disheveled and takes aim at former Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski.
Singler, who played for Krzyzewski at the school from 2007-11 and won the national championship in 2010, posted three videos of himself ranting from what appeared to be an Oklahoma apartment on Tuesday night.
The 38-year-old retired forward levelled several claims against Coach K, saying that his former coach “dismissed” him while also begging for help.
“Man, Coach K has set me up,” Singler said in the first video.
“Set me up, man. I have no power. I have no house. I’ve reached out to coach and everybody has turned the other way. I’ve reached out to coach and he has fully dismissed the message. You guys are cutting my power off, breaking into my house, stealing money, ruining my life. I reached out to Coach K and all he did was sit me on the bench. Thanks, man.
“Coach, where you at? Help a brother out. Thought we were on the same team.”
Is Kyle Singler in danger?
In the second video which Singler posted, he claimed that he was the victim of several crimes and that he “can’t even live anymore.”
“I’m out in Oklahoma, I go out walking the street, I get pulled, I get arrested, I get f***ing checked, I get kicked out of restaurants. I can’t even live anymore,” said Singler, who played parts of four seasons in Oklahoma City.
“I got people breaking into my house, jacking money, breaking into my accounts. And you know what? Duke’s all about it. I got Duke begging for my money. Everybody’s after my money, trying to kill me. What’s going on?
“Coach, you got a former player being mistreated and abused and you ain’t doing nothing.”
In the third and final video of the night, Singler again pleaded for help while saying that others were after his money.
“Well, coach, I need your help, I’m locked in my house and I have no freedom anymore,” Singler said. “Everyone again is attacking me for green, so have at it well. If anyone can he helpful to understand where we’re at and there are a lot of people attacking people for money, greed.
“Coach, man, I’ve reached out to you many times and shared with you where I’m at and you’ve just been deflective. Leaving people in the dust. I don’t respect it. You got a player that’s been traded, baby.”
Has Singler posted controversial videos before?
This isn’t the first apparent cry for help on social media from Singler.
Earlier this year, he sparked concerns for his well-being after posting another unhinged rant on social media, during which he made some shocking claims, alleging that his child was being abused by unnamed people.
“I don’t feel safe,” Singler said. “I’ve got people in my life taking my money — this is a message to everybody in my life who has been messing with me. My child is being sexually, physically, emotionally, spiritually abused. Shame on everybody that knows me that’s not helping, not intervening. F*** y’all. Duke, Medford (Oregon), everybody.”
Singler added that he was homeless and that he’s “on his own.”
“I have people in my life f***ing me and nobody’s there,” he added. “I’m on my own, homeless and people are just feeding off me … My child has been a weapon against me, I’m not apologetic for living my life out of love — being there for people I want to be around.”
Arrest in October
Singler had been arrested and charged with misdemeanour assault in Oklahoma last October.
He allegedly grabbed his girlfriend’s head and shoved her to the ground during an incident that took place in front of their child.
“I have been taken advantage of every single step of the way and now I’m talking. Y’all talk s*** and now I’m talking s***,” Singler concluded the video.
In November 2024, he also shared multiple videos that had former teammates reach out and offer help.
In videos, Singler said that he fears for his life “every day.”
”Every day, s*** is being thrown my way,” he said while walking around a room with very little furniture in it. “I have been mistreated and abused, neglected, made into a mental example. And I fear for my life every day. And people in my community make me look out as if I’m going to be someone that’s going to be a problem and make things difficult for people when I’m only trying to be helpful.
“I feel like I have a certain way about myself and strength and purpose that does not get valued or get treated properly.”

Singler’s hoops career
During his NBA career, Singler played a supporting role for the Detroit Pistons and Oklahoma City Thunder. He averaged 6.5 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.
He had been a star in college for Duke University, averaging 16.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game over his four years there. He also helped lead the Blue Devils to the NCAA championship in 2010 on a team that featured seven players who would go on to play in the NBA.
