Danica Patrick got engines — and mouths — running after sharing some recent pictures from her beach vacation.
While her Instagram carousel from Ibiza racked up more than 18,000 likes, it also drew plenty of comments calling out her appearance and questioning her health as she posed in a tiny neon yellow bikini.
“OK. I get TRIM and FIT. But like anything, all things in moderation. Honestly, y’all need some carbs and protein,” one of the more reasonable commenters wrote. “A couple Double Doubles with Cheese, Fries and a Chocolate Shake once or twice a week won’t hurt.”
Some of the more brutal replies implored Patrick to “OMG EAT SOMETHING” and asking for “someone (to) grab her some tacos.”
“You need a hamburger,” another user commented.
The criticism evidently didn’t sit well with Patrick, who took to her Instagram Stories to straighten things out.
“Since many have told me to eat after the last post, I shall show you more meals,” she wrote, alongside a snapshot of her lunch from Tuesday.
“Lunch here, and breakfast was 3 eggs plus 2 whites and a large homemade slice of @brooke_selman sourdough with butter and blueberry jam,” Patrick wrote.
On Wednesday, she also showed off a photo of a bowl containing potato, carrot, onion and bison.
Patrick, who has been open about her passion for fitness and nutrition, also shared a photo of herself paddleboarding while flexing her muscles.
“If you don’t lift weights (like for real) and eat your damn protein (not 2 eggs), you don’t have to get muscles. Right bestie?” she wrote while tagging Dr. Gabrielle Lyon, a certified physician and best-selling author.
“And the more muscle you have, the more you get to eat!!!!! The end.”
What did Patrick post on Instagram?
The motorsports groundbreaker shared a series of snaps from her vacation on Tuesday, including several photos of herself wearing two different revealing swimsuits.
“We saw so many beautiful beaches… but the modes of transportation it took to get there was half the fun,” she captioned the post, along with several emojis.
She also shared photos with her boyfriend, whose identity she has not publicly revealed.
The Ibiza pictures appear to be part of an extended European vacation.
Last Friday, she posted from Greece, writing: “We did Mykonos right. From what I remember.”
“Summering in Europe has become a ritual.” she added in another post.
