The Clearwater Police Department might’ve officially closed the book on its investigation into the death of Hulk Hogan, but that doesn’t mean the WWE legend’s daughter is letting things go.
Brooke Hogan slammed the CWPD on Monday, claiming that the authorities “missed the mark” from the beginning when looking into the death of Hulk Hogan, real name Terry Bollea.
“There’s been a lot of inconsistencies from the beginning,” Brooke told TMZ. “I think CWPD missed the mark by not immediately making this a big investigation and not questioning everything and everybody out of the gate.
“This should have been treated as a taped-off, locked-down, thorough investigation from day one.”
What did Police say about the investigation?
On Friday, CWPD announced it had closed its investigation and ruled there was no foul play involved.
“The investigation into the death of Terry Bollea is now closed, and classified as an attended natural death,” a statement posted to the department’s official website said.
The 72-page report revealed that CWPD found no evidence of criminal wrongdoing in Hogan’s death, with medical records showing his cause of death as an acute myocardial infarction — commonly known as a heart attack.
“Following an exhaustive review of the statements, medical records, surveillance footage from within the residence, and a visual inspection of Mr. Bollea’s body, there has been no evidence to indicate the death of Terry Bollea was anything other than natural,” the CPD report read. “Through the course of the investigation, there has been no evidence to indicate any criminal wrongdoing related to his death. This case will be closed, and will be considered solved, non-criminal.”
What else did Brooke Hogan say?
While closing the case, CWPD also publicly thanked Brooke for her cooperation – something she wasn’t too thrilled about.
Brooke told TMZ that she was stunned by the department’s statement and called it “a slap in the face,” after she felt like an “outsider” throughtout the process.
She also took exception to several parts of the extensive report, mainly with toxicology findings.
Brooke claims that she was told that there were no blood samples available, but later investigators said that they found nothing suspicious in Hulk’s blood.
She also noted inconsistencies in the police records regarding Hulk’s prescriptions, which included medications that didn’t appear in the toxicology reports.
