Blake Snell’s wife shares disturbing Instagram threat after NLCS loss: ‘Cut off your fingers’

Some baseball fans really should be reminded that it’s just a game and that there’s never a need to threaten the family of a player, like the way that Haeley Snell experienced recently.

Haeley is the wife of Dodgers starting pitcher Blake Snell and, as Los Angeles was swept out of the NLCS by the Milwaukee Brewers, she shared a disturbing message sent to her via direct message on Instagram.

Haeley posted a screenshot of the message on her Instagram Story in which a user going by the name Kavidies Fernan threatened to cut off her fingers.

“It’s simple: tell that son of a b**** to back off before October 20th,” the screenshot of a direct message reads from Instagram username @fernan0177.

“Otherwise, I’ll cut off your fingers, one by one.”

The user also wrote that they didn’t care about spending money to find Snell.

“I don’t care about spending 40k to track you down, you b****. He has until October 20. Consider yourself warned.”

How did Snell respond?

It’s unclear what the user was referring to when demanding the pitcher “back down,” but Haeley assumed it was related to sports betting.

“Tell me you lost a sports bet without telling me you lost a sports bet,” she wrote on her Instagram Story along with the screenshot.

On Friday, Haeley shared a post with some happy memories with her family from the season.

“Grateful for the experience! Proud of this team always,” she wrote while posting several pics of herself with the couple’s two children.

Blake has shared a few reposts on his own Instagram Stories thanking the fans and praising teammates for their work.

For his part, the 2025 World Series mostly pitched well during his Game 3 start — until the seventh inning.

Snell, who had not given up a home run to a left-handed batter since 2024, gave up back-to-back home runs to leftys Jake Bauers and Garrett Mitchell to gave Milwaukee a 4-2 lead. The Brewers would go on to win the game 6-2 and then complete the sweep on Thursday night.

The two-time Cy Young Award winner had been limited to just nine starts this season, but was excellent during his limited action. Snell went 4-1 and posted a 1.90 ERA over 42.2 innings while striking out 55 batters.
