After 16 years of marriage, former tennis pros Ashley Harkleroad and Chuck Adams will be looking for new playing partners.
According to TMZ, the couple are divorcing, with the 54-year-old Adams filing for legal separation from Harkleroad on April 14. Adams reportedly cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split in the court documents.
Harkleroad and Adams had been married since September 2009, and the couple have two children together, 17-year-old son Charlie and 15-year-old daughter Cissy, with Adams seeking joint custody in which the teens would live with Harkleroad and Adams getting visitation.
According to the New York Post, Charlie is a 6-foot-tall high school basketball player in the class of 2028, while Cissy has taken up tennis and is sponsored by Fila.
In the filing, Adams claimed that his current assets and debts are unknown, but requested the ability to amend his petition for separation once that issue is resolved.
He also requested to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support to Harkleroad.
