The Falcons will feast on the Jags

Don’t read too much into Maurice Jones-Drew’s huge four touchdown day on Sunday. The same about the Jaguars defence scoring twice. Also, don’t mention that the Jags scored 41 consecutive points. It’s all moot.

That’s because they were playing a team that was on the road, down some key players and clearly quitting voraciously on their coach.

The Atlanta Falcons are much different. They’re starting to pick up steam, they’re much better at home than on the road and they have a guy who’s actually competent under centre.

Of course, they could easily choke this one away if they don’t contain MoJo, but it’s always hard to run effectively when the line is stacked, daring Blaine Gabbert to throw to his no-name receivers.

Pick: ATLANTA -11.5 over Jacksonville.

Last week: 12-4
This season: 104-99-2
