Week 14 NFL picks

The lines are from bodog and the home teams are in CAPS.

Indianapolis +17 over BALTIMORE
The Ravens have a history of not “getting up” for games like these. It’s also possible that the Colts could back-door cover a big line like this.

Houston +3 over CINCINNATI
This is more a vote for the Texans’ defence than T.J. Yates/Jeff Garcia.

GREEN BAY -11.5 over Oakland
I would have only considered the Raiders if Darren McFadden was playing, but he’s not.

Kansas City +10.5 over NEW YORK JETS
I’m not sure Mark Sanchez and Co. can cover this, even playing against Tyler Palko.

Minnesota +12 over DETROIT
Just the possibility of Adrian Peterson coming back is enough for me to jump on these points. Even if he sits this line isn’t bad.

TENNESSEE +4 over New Orleans
The Saints aren’t the same team on the road and the Titans are a tough out.

Philadelphia +3 over MIAMI
With Jeremy Maclin and Mike Vick back, the Eagles should be able to win this one.

New England -9 over WASHINGTON
The Skins lost their best receiving threat for the season and won’t have enough to stop the Pats.

CAROLINA +3 over Atlanta
The Falcons on the road are always a dicey proposition. Plus, I like taking the points with Cam Newton.

JACKSONVILLE +1 over Tampa Bay
This battle of Florida is just plain blah. It doesn’t hurt to take the team with the best player (Maurice Jones-Drew)

ARIZONA +4 over San Francisco
Somebody has to get to the Niners, right? With Patrick Willis out, that time could be now.

DENVER -3.5 over Chicago
I’m semi-scared giving points with Tim Tebow, but the Bears’ offence will struggle mightily with Caleb Hanie and Marion Barber leading it.

SAN DIEGO -7 over Buffalo
Philip Rivers and the Chargers is lights-out in December and the Bills are just plain out.

New York Giants +3 over DALLAS
I’m not sure how the Cowboys are going to cover the Giants three good receivers.

SEATTLE -7 over St. Louis
Even with Sam Bradford this would be a tough trip for the Rams. And could there possibly be a worse Monday Night matchup?

This week: 0-1
Last week: 10-6
This season:  96-96-2
