Oh, I’m sorry, were you excited to see Blake Griffin in action? Were you all excited about the possibility of seeing the Los Angeles Clippers, a forever cursed club, finally step up and vy for a playoff spot with a solid young core of talent? Well, guess what happened: The Curse hit.
With Griffin out for a few weeks, there’s just enough time for the players to realize their potential of being a trainwreck under the worst coach in the league. Morale will sour, players will be gunning for their own stats and everyone will try to tune out the man who is supposed to be leading them.
What happens when Griffin returns, who knows? But will the rookie be able to become an active leader on a team that might have already given up? That’s a lot to ask of a young man.
