Will Levis was left scrambling after learning that a sex tape of himself and his ex-girlfriend had gone viral, leading the Tennessee Titans QB to spend an “exorbitant” amount of money to get it taken down.
The quarterback’s own mother detailed how Levis was devastated to see the video appear online after he allegedly had a personal device hacked by an Eastern European group during his time in college.
Beth Levis, the mother of the former NFL second-round draft pick, opened up about his ordeal on Monday’s episode of the Ross Tucker Football Podcast.
“As soon as he started talking my heart immediately sank,” Beth said. “I ended up pulling over and come to find out that my son had just found out a couple hours (before) he discovered that there was a very intimate video of he and his ex-girlfriend that had gone viral all over social media platforms.
“The first words out of Will’s mouth were, ‘I’m so sorry, mom,’ and it just broke my heart.”
However, Beth said that after Levis spent a large sum of money on hiring a cybersecurity specialist, he was able to mostly have the intimate video featuring Levis and Gia Duddy disappear online.
How much did Levis pay to have the video taken down?
“Will actually ended up engaging in hiring a cyber security specialist and spent an exorbitant amount of money to try to get to the bottom of this and through that try to scrape … what they could to ultimately make this go away.
“Ultimately, a lot of the content was taken down, but you can never scrape anything entirely from the internet; it’s there forever, there is a footprint, unfortunately.”
Through working with the specialist, Levis was able to find out that he had been breached several years earlier after Duddy — a social media influencer with more than 327,000 followers on Instagram — had faced an unfounded online accusation of potentially leaking the video herself to grow her brand.
“We did find out that actually this content was stolen and his private either laptop or digital platform/phone was actually breached and invaded a year or two earlier when he was in college,” Beth said. “And we come to find out this was an Eastern European hacking group that is notorious for trying to target what they think might be an attractive couple they can then expose and do what they do for attention.
“We actually came to terms with that, at least we knew where it came from. It wasn’t something malicious from who knows, somebody else.”
What is Levis and Gia Duddy’s history?
Will Levis and Duddy dated while he was attending Kentucky and Penn State, but the couple reportedly broke up in 2023.
Levis currently serves as the backup quarterback in Tennessee after the Titans used the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL draft to select Cam Ward.
In 21 NFL starts, Levis posted a record of 5-16 and was more known for making awkwardly bad plays than living up to his billing as a high draft pick.
