Bill Belichick goes viral, wears signature hoodie at girlfriend’s cheer competition

Bill Belichick didn’t exactly have a cheerful look while taking in girlfriend Jordon Hudson’s adult coed cheerleading competition in Raleigh, N.C.

The University of North Carolina football coach was spotted in the crowd Sunday as his 24-year-old partner took the floor — just a day after the Tar Heels’ latest loss.

Hudson, a former cheerleader at Bridgewater State University, was competing as part of the coed Code Black squad during the Cheer Extreme All Stars X Evolution exhibition.

In images that have gone viral on social media, Belichick was spotted sitting in the back row of the crowd rocking his usual grey hoodie.

Hudson also sported a serious look in the snaps while wearing a sequined black top with sheer sleeves and black shorts.

Tar Heels own losing record under Belichick

Belichick’s team has been underwhelming in his first season in charge, to say the least. The Tar Heels have a 4-6 overall record while going just 2-4 in conference play.

On Saturday, UNC suffered a 28-12 loss against rival Wake Forest, ending a two-game winning streak.

Belichick also took some heat after the game when he brushed by first-year Demon Deacons coach Jake Dickert during a post-game handshake. Dickert had taken off his hat in a show of respect, but Belichick barely acknowledged him.

Belichick also has been plagued by questions about a potential NFL return — most recently after the New York Giants dismissed head coach Brian Daboll earlier this month.

“I mean, I’ve been asked about it from time to time,” Belichick said during a news conference last week. “Look, I’ve been down this road before. I’m focused on Wake Forest. That’s it. And that’s my commitment to this team. And next week it’ll be to our next opponent and so forth. But I’m here to do the best I can for this team.”

Rumours of potential move to NFL’s Giants

He later issued a statement to help quell any buzz about him potentially joining the Giants, with whom he won two Super Bowls as the defensive co-ordinator under Bill Parcells.

“I have great respect and genuinely care for the New York Giants organization and both the Mara and Tisch families,” he wrote in a statement. “The New York Giants played an important role in my life and in my coaching journey.

“It was a privilege for me to work for the Mara family and be a member of coach Parcells’ staff for over a decade. However, despite circulating rumours, I have not and will not pursue any NFL head coaching vacancies.”

The Tar Heels’ next two games are also huge rivalry matchups. On Saturday, the Tar Heels will host the Duke Blue Devils and the following Saturday they’ll visit NC State to close out their regular season.

It’s unclear if North Carolina will get an invite to a Bowl game this year due to its mediocre record.
