Jacked Blue Jays fan’s identity revealed after viral playoff moment

Move over, Home Plate Lady, there’s a new viral Blue Jays fan in town.

There may have been 44,655 fans in attendance for Game 1 of the American League Division Series between the Blue Jays and New York Yankees at Rogers Centre, but one fan garnered far more intrigue than any other: A Jacked Blue Jays fan.

Social media once again went crazy for the man with an Incredible Hulk-like figure with many posting on X and TikTok asking who he was.

WARNING: Language

Another fan posted a picture from a broadcast in 2023 which also appeared to feature the rather large man with long hair, asking if it was the same fan.

After days of sleuthing, the fan was revealed to be Dean Angelo, a personal trainer based in Toronto.

Angelo was tracked down by Jesse Kirshenbaum, a co-founder of BarDown who now hosts the BClutch podcast in partnership with Bet99.

“I went home from the game after the Yankees series and then I honestly got home and me and my girlfriend got in a fight,” Angelo said when asked by Kirshenbaum about when he realized he had gone viral.

“I got all these texts from kids I used to train. I didn’t have TikTok, I wasn’t on TikTok and they sent me a bunch of TikToks.”

“I was like, ‘Oh s—, look at what’s going on.’

“She got so pissed off, she was so upset about it.

“I was just like, ‘All right, maybe this is a bad thing,’ but it was crazy to see.”

BODY TRANSFORMATION REVEALED

After Angelo began garnering attention online for his appearance behind home plate, he shared a stunning before-and-after post on Instagram, highlighting his body transformation after eight years of training.

“I really appreciate all the kind supportive comments and messages,” he wrote in the caption. “I’ve never really wanted to post my transformation before but I just wanted to take a moment to share where my journey started.

“These two photos are about 8 years apart. I am really touched by anyone who finds my physique inspiring. Anything is possible with consistent effort.”

While the Blue Jays won their series with the Yankees, they’ve now dug themselves into a 2-0 hole in the AL Championship Series against the Seattle Mariners, having lost both games at Rogers Centre.

Game 3 of the ALCS is set for Wednesday night with a first pitch at 8:08 p.m. in Seattle. Shane Bieber will get the start for the Jays, while George Kirby toes the rubber for the Mariners.
