Hulk Hogan’s cause of death report also reveals secret health issue

The Hulkster’s official cause of death was a heart attack.

Hulk Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, died from an acute myocardial infarction – otherwise known as a heart attack – as per the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center and as revealed by Page Six on Thursday.

An acute myocardial infarction is when blood flow to the heart muscle is suddenly blocked, causing tissue damage.

The outlet also reports that Hogan had a history of atrial fibrillation (AFib), which is a heart condition characterized by an irregular and often rapid heart rate.

While it was widely reported that Hogan suffered heart failure last Thursday at his home in Clearwater, Fla., the reports also showed a previously unreported health struggle for the late WWE legend.

Per the records, the pro wrestling icon also had a history of leukemia CLL, a type of cancer that affects white blood cells called lymphocytes.

It was not public knowledge that Hogan had ever battled cancer.

Hogan’s manner of death was ruled natural, according to the cremation summary approval report.

“I am not aware when Mr. Bollea will be cremated, only that we received a request for cremation approval,” a spokesperson for the medical examiner’s office told Page Six.

Most of Hogan’s health issues have long been public knowledge and the pop culture icon endured many surgeries over the years.

It had been reported earlier this month by Hogan’s friend and radio DJ Bubba the Love Sponge that Hogan had been in poor health, which was shot down at the time by others close to the Hulkster.

“I had just talked to Jimmy Hart the day before and I didn’t actually speak with Hulk, but everything was fine. I knew that he had health issues, but I thought that they were being embellished by that radio disc jockey. I talked to Jimmy, I talked to his friend and he seemed to be fine,” fellow wrestling legend Ric Flair said during an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show earlier this week.

“I think he just got tired. I mean, 11 back operations, hip replacements, now a neck surgery. I mean, how much can your body take? We’ve all put ourselves in a ridiculous position in the business.”
