Snoop Dogg’s security allegedly ‘pushed’ and threatened speed skating legend at Olympics

Snoop Dogg has been one of the star celebrity attractions at the Milano-Cortina Olympics, but it appears his security staff has gotten some unwanted attention.

The rapper’s security guards reportedly were involved in an incident with an Olympic legend who says that she was pushed and threatened.

Dutch speed skating legend Marianne Timmer, who is serving as a media commentator at the Winter Games, claims that she was “pushed” near a wall while waiting to interview athletes following the 1,000-metre speed skating event at Milano Speed Skating Stadium on Wednesday.

“I was standing against a wall, and one of the security guards pushed me even closer,” Timmer told Sportnieuws. “I said, ‘Just act normal,’ it’s a really wide hall, about four metres. But then the guy came back and I said, ‘What? Do I have to go through that wall or something?’”

Timmer, who is a three-time Olympic gold medallist, added that the security guards came back and “started acting all up against me.”

She also said that she saw another person being “roughly escorted” out of the arena by the guards and she was afraid it could happen to her.

“I could just picture myself being grabbed by the neck and thrown out. That would have been a great story,” she said.

Why is Snoop Dogg at the Olympics?

Snoop Dogg is in serving as an “honourary coach” for Team USA in Milan after making several appearances on NBC during the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee said in a press release that he “will lend his signature humour and heart to help motivate Team USA athletes.”

“Team USA athletes are the real stars — I’m just here to cheer, uplift and maybe drop a little wisdom from the sidelines,” Snoop Dogg said in the press release. “This team represents the best of what sport can be: talent, heart and hustle. If I can bring a little more love and motivation to that, that’s a win for me.”

He has made several appearances over the past week, including a meet-and-greet with the men’s hockey team and being spotted in the crowd during some speed skating.

However, the 54-year-old Drop It Like It’s Hot hitmaker will be taking a break from the Games on Saturday.

Snoop Dogg reportedly will be jetting off to take in the match between Derby Country and Swansea AFC – the team which he is a part-owner of.
