Jutta Leerdam’s Olympic race suit from viral sports-bra flash up for auction

Whether you are fan of the Netherlands, speedskating, the Olympics or just Jutta Leerdam, anyone out there with a few thousand dollars to spare can now own a piece of history.

The Team Netherlands racing suit that Leerdam wore while winning gold in the 1,000 metres and silver in the 500-metre event is up for auction, with bidding already surpassing $6,000 US as of Saturday afternoon.

The 27-year-old speedskating star went viral during the 2026 Winter Games, unzipping the front of her uniform to reveal a Nike sports bra after winning the first Olympic gold of her career.

Leerdam, who is engaged to YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, reportedly could have earned more than $1 million from the celebration after Nike posted an image of the emotional Dutchwoman on their Instagram feed.

The bright orange suit – signed by Leerdam and currently on display at the Staatsloterij TeamNL House in Milan – is one of several pieces of memorabilia that has been put on the block by the Dutch women’s speedskating team. Also up for auction on the Match Worn Shirts site are the suits worn by fellow medallists Femke Kok, Antoinette Rijpma-De-Jong and Merel Conjin.

And, if you’re watching your budget, Leerdam’s signed headband is on the block with a price of around $900, as of Saturday afternoon.

Bidding closes on Friday with the proceeds going to the local clubs where the athletes got their starts.

While there is still plenty of time, bidding on Leerdam’s outfit currently is vastly outpacing the rest of the items, nearly doubling up the top bid on Kok’s race suit.

In a separate auction, Jens van ‘t Wout sold the jacket that he wore during the opening ceremonies for $3,500.

Leerdam’s massive potential payday

Leerdam has been one of the biggest stars of the Olympics, earning two medals and capturing the attention of fans around the world.

And she might have raked in roughly $1 million for simply unzipping the front of her uniform post-race.

According to one advertising expert, Nike – whose sports bra was on display as Leerdam celebrated her in the 1,000m speed skating event last week – could be forking over big bucks to the blonde beauty.

After winning the event last Monday, breaking the Olympic record in the process, Leerdam unzipped her racing suit to show off the white Nike undergarment as she cooled down after the tough race.

As the image of the emotional Leerdam went viral, Nike posted an image of her celebration on the company’s official Instagram account – which boasts nearly 300 million followers.

According to Frederique de Laat, founder of Branthlete – a marketing agency specializing in female athlete advertising – the 27-year-old Dutchwoman could be heavily compensated through her brand deal.

“With Nike, I suspect you’re looking at a figure of over a million,” de Laat told Dutch news outlet AD, per the Daily Mail.

Will Jutta be at the closing ceremony?

Unfortunately, fans won’t get another peek at Leerdam, who has already departed Italy.

The blonde beauty posted on Instagram on Friday that she was leaving the Olympics, sharing several photos of herself on a private plane bound the U.S.

“Goodbye Olympics. I can’t believe I’m leaving with my dream around my neck,” she wrote, adding gold and silver medal emojis.

She previously had been criticized for flying private to the Olympics and was labelled as a “diva” by pundits.

When asked in the comments why she wasn’t sticking around for the closing of the Games, Leerdam replied that she “went off to support my fiancé for his surgery.”

Paul, who suffered a broken jaw during his boxing match with former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in December, underwent a second surgery in Miami.

“Had to get another jaw surgery. The screws and plates were coming loose because apparently I didn’t rest for the past 2 months,” Paul shared in an Instagram post on Friday.

Paul had been seen cheering on Leerdam at her events in Milan. He even was spotted crying tears of joy as she won her gold medal, breaking an Olympic record in the process.
