Phoenix Suns star Dillon Brooks was arrested for DUI early Friday, according to a report.
TMZ Sports first reported that the Canadian hoops star was pulled over in Scottsdale, Ariz., around 1 a.m. for traffic violations.
After an investigation, Brooks was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence.
He was then taken to Scottsdale City jail and processed before being released from custody around 3:30 a.m.
The outlet reported that Brooks was “respectful and cooperative” while in custody before being released.
Further details about the Mississauga native’s arrest have so far not been released.
In a mugshot obtained by TMZ, Brooks is seen wearing a white tank top and lengthy beard, with his eyes appearing to be slightly red.
The outlet reached out to the Suns for comment, with the team saying that they are aware of the situation and gathering more information.

The 2025-26 season is Brooks’ ninth in the NBA and first with the Suns. He began his career with the Grizzlies, playing six seasons in Memphis before joining the Houston Rockets ahead of the 2023-24 season.
Brooks has been a key member of the Canadian men’s national basketball team and suited up for his country during the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
The swingman – who is best known as a defensive stalwart and overall pest on the court – has been sidelined for the past few weeks after suffering a broken hand.
In 50 games so far this season, Brooks has averaged a career-high 20.9 points per game along with 3.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists.
The Phoenix Suns were in action on Thursday night, losing a close 105-103 contest at home to the Chicago Bulls. The Suns currently sit seventh in the Western Conference with a record of 35-27.
