Their vows were so nice that they did them twice.
Tennis star Venus Williams and Andrea Preti — a Danish-born actor, model and producer — recently married in a posh Palm Beach ceremony three months after first tying the knot in Italy.
Williams, a seven-time Grand Slam singles tennis champion, shared all of the details with Vogue earlier this week.
“It was just the happiest, most beautiful, sweetest day,” the 45-year-old bride told the outlet, revealing the pesky reason why the couple required two special events.
“We had this dream to do our wedding in Italy,” she said. “But we didn’t have enough time to do the paperwork — because I’m a foreigner, it can take about eight months. So we decided to have a second wedding.”

So, after first saying their vows on Sept. 18 in Ischia, Italy, the couple had an ‘I do-over’ in Palm Beach that “focused more on Venus’s Florida roots,” according to Vogue.
The second go-round was a five-day affair, including a bridal shower, pool party and a Sports Day, consisting of pickleball, dodgeball, wheelbarrow races, volleyball, and tennis.

Serena Williams’ gift to sister
Serena Williams, Venus’ younger sister and fellow tennis legend, gifted the couple a yacht for the occasion – with all the fixings.
“We started on Monday. Serena gave us this gift of a beautiful yacht, and she arranged all the food, everything. We had 10 to 12 of our closest family and friends who were in town on the boat, and we were singing, dancing, gossiping, and just enjoying each other,” Venus said.
Williams and Preti had a courthouse ceremony Friday — an occasion the groom described as “very unique, emotional and deep” — before Saturday’s ceremony and reception.

Williams wore “the most incredible dress by Georges Hobeika,” a design that she “thought Andrea would love and that was magical and perfect for a Florida wedding.”
The couple first met in February 2024 during Milan Fashion Week, shortly before Venus was diagnosed with adenomyoma and just a month before she had surgery to remove fibroids associated with the condition.
Williams’ iconic career
Just six months after her surgery, the pair got engaged on Jan. 31, 2025, in Tuscany – though she didn’t confirm the news until July during a post-match interview.
Williams is a seven-time Wimbledon singles champion and two-time U.S. Open champion while also having the reached the final at the Aussie and French Opens during her iconic career. She is 14-time Grand Slam doubles champion, as well.
She also has won four Olympic gold medals – one in singles and three in doubles.
Preti has been featured in several films, including 2015’s One More Day, which he also wrote and directed.
