Home of Eagles coordinator Kevin Patullo egged by angry fans after loss to Bears

Sports fans in Philadelphia will never be shy about letting you know how they feel.

After losing to the Chicago Bears on Friday, Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo got their message loud and clear.

This past Saturday, just hours after the team’s 24-15 loss, a video went viral of several Eagles supporters throwing eggs at the coach’s Moorestown, N.J. home.

WARNING: Language

According to ESPN, an investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

While the reigning champion Eagles remain in first place in the NFC East with a record of 8-4, the team’s offence has struggled mightily this season despite the unit boasting the highest total salary in the league.

With Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts at QB and offensive player of the year Saquon Barkley at running back the Eagles rank in the bottom third of the league with 304.8 yards per game (24th), 196.3 passing yards (23rd), 108.5 rushing yards (22nd) and are 19th in scoring (22.5 points per game).

Star wide receiver A.J. Brown has spoken out many times about his displeasure with the offence this year and there have been reports of several closed-door meetings between players and the coaching staff.

Second consecutive defeat

Philly’s loss to the Bears was their second in a row after blowing a 21-0 lead to the division rival Cowboys the previous Sunday. In their loss to Dallas, the Eagles failed to score a single point in the second half.

Patullo, who has been part of the Eagles’ staff since Nick Sirianni was hired as head coach in 2021, was promoted from passing game coordinator and associate head coach to offensive coordinator this off-season. He replaced Kellen Moore, who was hired as the new head coach of the New Orleans Saints.

Sirianni, who has come under himself for the team’s struggles, backed his OC during a conference call on Monday and said that Patullo would remain the team’s offensive play-caller.

“It isn’t just one person, it’s the ultimate team game,” Sirianni told reporters. “Like I said, we’re working through everything. I have a lot of faith in all the players. I have a lot of faith in all the coaches. We’ve just got to execute it better and scheme it better, and that all can be true, we’ve got to call it better.

“It’s every area that we need to improve on. That’s why we always say we look internally through all these things.

“Like I said to you guys, if all that’s not gelling, to me, that’s on me first. It’s my job to do whatever I need to do to help get it fixed and that’s what we’re working on right now.”

The Eagles return to action on Monday night with a game against the Chargers in Los Angeles.
