NFL WEEK 6 PICKS: Lions can heap more misery on Chiefs in K.C.

The lines are from Covers.com and the home teams are in CAPs.

NEW YORK GIANTS +7.5 over Philadelphia

Now that was a rough night for Philadelphia sports fans. Ouch.

Denver -7.5 over New York Jets in London

The Broncos actually flew out from the East Coast, which is smart thinking for a team from the Rockies. The Jets, on the other hand, have done anything but fly this season. They should be under siege once again this week in a season totally off the rails.

MIAMI +4 over L.A. Chargers

The Chargers are playing an early start, across the country, in some hot and humid weather, and have been decimated by injuries on the O-line and at RB. The Dolphins are by no means a good team, but might be able to keep this close enough for a cover.

New England -3.5 over NEW ORLEANS

The Pats have been looking better by the week and the Saints needed a ton of turnovers against the lowly Giants to capture what should be one of their few wins this season.

PITTSBURGH -5.5 over Cleveland

Both teams played their previous game overseas, the big difference being that the Steelers took a bye after flying back while the Browns played last week –which should once again put rookie Dillon Gabriel behind the eight ball. The Browns defence is a strong unit, but plays much worse on the road, too.

CAROLINA +3 over Dallas

This is exactly the type of game that the Cowboys always blow. It will be doubly painful if it’s Rico Dowdle who twists the dagger against his former team.

Seattle +1 over JACKSONVILLE

The Jags last-minute win over the Chiefs is fresh in everyone’s head – so let’s fade them. Trevor Lawrence continues to make a lot of mistakes and the Seahawks need to rebound from a tough loss to Tampa.

INDIANAPOLIS -7 over Arizona

It’s all crashing down in Arizona. Players are dropping balls before scoring, coaches are shoving players, the QB is taking snaps off the facemask. The line is a bit heavy, but the Colts have a good chance of pounding the folding Cards.

L.A. Rams -7.5 over BALTIMORE

The Ravens should be looking towards next week’s bye to get healthy for the stretch run, but we’re not expecting much against a Rams team primed to bounce back from a tough loss.

Tennessee +5 over LAS VEGAS

Why should the Raiders be favoured by more than three points against anyone? Both of these teams are destined for a very high pick in next year’s draft and might want to start thinking about that.

TAMPA BAY -3 over San Francisco

The 49ers got an emotional win over the Rams last week and have had some extra time to prepare for this one, but still have too many key players ailing. Mac Jones’ resurgence has been great, but the Bucs seem like a team of destiny.

Cincinnati +14 over GREEN BAY

Look, Joe Flacco isn’t going to turn the Bengals season around, not with that offensive line or defence. But he’s a veteran who should help ground the offence and could keep this loss in single-digits.

Detroit +2.5 over KANSAS CITY*

We still respect Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid and the dynasty they built, but I’m not even sure they should be favoured in this one. The vibes are off in Kansas City with the latest example being star lineman Chris Jones completely giving up on the game-winning play Monday night.

ATLANTA +4.5 over Buffalo

The Falcons have one heck of a rest advantage coming off the bye and the Bills being forced to dig deep in a prime-time loss to the Pats. The Bills may be a Super Bowl contender, but this could be a tough situation to avoid a backdoor cover.

Chicago +4.5 over WASHINGTON

A rematch from last year when the Bears blew it on a game-winning Hail Mary. Chicago comes off their bye and are in a better spot than when they played the Commanders last year.

Last week: 7-7

This season: 34-43-1
