Paige Spiranac reveals why she’s finally ‘happier’ after mental health struggles

Paige Spiranac is happier than ever after conquering a mental block that had been setting her back.

The popular golf influencer revealed that she has finally stopped beating herself up over her failed attempt to become a professional golfer.

“’You look happier,’” Spiranac wrote on a clip of herself sitting in a golf cart, smiling. “Thanks I finally stopped beating myself up about not making it as a pro golfer.”

In the caption, she went far more in depth, sharing her mental struggles.

“Ever since I started playing golf at 13, I always wanted to play professionally. There are so many reasons why someone doesn’t make it to that level and for me it was mental,” she wrote.

“I’ve always struggled with competing under pressure. I would always crack and was the worst version of myself. I’m so grateful for the detour my life took years ago.

“Although I felt like a loser and a quitter at the time, I always knew I wasn’t cut out for professional sports and was able to find a path better suited for my personality. It’s time we stop beating ourselves up and start being our own biggest cheerleaders! I love creating, the game of golf and connecting with you all. Thank you for your support.”

Instead, she’s now revelling in the support she receives as one of the sport’s most popular influencers.

“A bit of a sappy caption but I want to do my part to spread some positivity on social media. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without all the encouragement and love from you all. I’m forever grateful for this community,” she wrote.

Spiranac was a successful collegiate golfer, winning the Mountain West Conference Championship with San Diego State Aztecs in 2013.

However, Spiranac saw limited success as a pro, winning one tournament on the Cactus Tour and failing to earn a spot on the LPGA Tour.

After walking away from professional golf, Spiranac turned to modelling and built a huge following as an influencer on social media.

She now has more than 5 million followers across her platforms and even landed a cameo role in Happy Gilmore 2, this summer’s follow up to the 90’s Adam Sandler cult classic.

Many of Spiranac’s fans thanked her for being open about her struggles in Tuesday’s post.

“Absolutely outstanding it takes a lot for people on social media to talk about their faults because we all have them but you’re spreading positive thoughts,” one user commented on Instagram.

“Proud of you! For what it’s worth, you really helped my putting game with a video you posted a few months back. You’re a pro in this average golfers eyes,” another replied.

The blond bombshell recently returned after a short break from social media, sharing some sultry snaps from a recent photo shoot.

She also teased what was to come in her 2026 calendar.
